Large FPSO Swivel Project Ships to Singapore

March 2009

Superior Machining is proud to announce the completion and shipment of our largest project to date. The 70,000 lb. FPSO Slip Ring Peregrino shipped in March of this year and is headed for Singapore where it will be installed on a new Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. We would like to thank all employees involved in this challenging project which tool great skill and teamwork to accomplish.

Superior Machining has added more CNC vertical turning capacity in the range of Ø80" x 70" height

Superior Machining has also added a CNC vertical machining center with full simultaneous 5-axis capability. Work envelope of X120" x Y40" in 3-axis milling mode and Ø30" x Z18" in 5-axis mode.

Building Expansion Underway

Superior Machining is currently expanding its facility by another 19,000 square feet. The new addition will allow for up to 50 tonne lifting capacity with 26 ft. under the hook. The expansion will bring the facility's total area to 60,000 square ft. Estimated completion date is December 2007

New Equipment Addition - CNC Horizontal Boring Mill - Aug. 2006

Superior Machining & Repairs Ltd. is pleased to announce its latest addition of a new CNC horizontal boring mill. The new machine has filled a gap in our capacities by allowing us to machine medium sized parts up to 2 meters (78.74") in length. We now have a full range of CNC milling and boring capability up to 3.5 meters (137.8") in length.

New Equipment Addition - CNC CMM Inspection Machine - May 2006

In keeping with our quality policy, Superior Machining has added a new computer controlled inspection machine to provide reliable dimensional inspection reports for manufactured parts and assemblies.

The new machine is certified to international ISO standards and will provide us with the assurance and confidence that parts we make are within customer specified tolerances.

New Equipment Addition - CNC Lathe - Feb. 2005

Superior Machining has added new CNC equipment again in its commitment to quality and efficiency with the addition of a new CNC lathe. The lathe will allow us to manufacture medium sized parts with better suface finishes, tighter tolerances and lower costs. Suited for chucking and shafting work, with a fully automatic steady rest and 30HP motor, the new machine will be capable of heavy high speed roughing and fine finishing of a full range of parts up to 24 inches in diameter and 82 inches long.
